Leadership Judgment
Judgment is the only thing that doesn’t scale.

The Acquirer’s Terms
Your open-source developer tools company has run out of runway. A large enterprise software vendor offers a full acquisition that would guarantee every employee’s job and fund the product roadmap for five years — but requires closing the source, ending the community edition, and folding the brand within eighteen months. Without the deal, payroll fails in eleven weeks and the product likely dies with the company. The board has approved the term sheet; the decision rests with you as CEO.
What do you do?
Choose one. There is no clean option.
Every option here is defensible. Not every option is survivable. Johtosielu shows you what each one costs, then keeps a record of which way you lean.
What it returns
A map of where your judgment holds, and where it gives way.
Illustrative profile.
Each decision is read against ten dimensions of leadership judgment. What emerges is not a personality type. It is a record of how you actually decide when the options are all defensible.
Written analysis
You decide early and you defend your reasoning well. Under pressure you reach for structure before you reach for people — which holds a crisis together, and costs you in the eighteen months after one. Your weakest ground is the conversation you postpone.
